Mommin’ ain’t easy, but dressing like a ‘cool’ mom should be, lol!!
Today’s post has been a top requested one by all of you! You’ve been wanting me to share more casual yet put together mommin looks, so I’m sharing today my fave top SIX styles. All outfits are affordable yet mommy chic- and I linked a few extra items for ya too!
So first up let’s shat about my all time fave Old Navy jeans! This pair of high rise jeans feels like leggings but they have functional pockets and are sooooo dang comfy! These are my most purchased jeans by all of YOU and my most worn for sure (besides my Good American, but these are a pricier). An easy casual look with the denim would be this wrap sweater from Amazon seen below. I love the wrap detail at the waist and the fabric and quality overall is really, really GOOD. I’m wearing the xl in the sweater and it fits oversized (if you want a tighter fit, make sure to size down). I finished the outfit with my fave cognac booties, I’ve been wearing them all the dang time!!
Next outfit with the same Old Navy jeans would be this tunic sweater. It’s under $15 and feels so very soft! I am wearing the xl and I love that it just fits over my hips without sticking to my butt, lol (you know what I mean ladies) 😂 The sweater comes in more colors FYI and it’s just so cozy! I’m wearing some really affordable scrunch boots I found for under $20! (They fit true to size and fit my wider calf too).
Another easy top to wear with the jeans would be this tie at the waist top that can actually be worn three ways!! I’m in the xl and it runs true to size. So many colors are available and it’s available up to a size 4x I believe! It’s one of those tops that makes you feel more put together than you really are, lol (hence the reason I like it so much).
Ok, and here’s another Amazon sweater I found. It’s advertised as a sweater dress, but with me being 5’7″, that’s not gonna happen. I wear this tunic sweater as I call it with the leggings above, with my Old Navy jeans, and with these Target $19.99 stretchy pants that also made the “list” of my 6 fave casual looks! The tunic runs big, I’m wearing the large but it’s so great for leggings like I’ve mentioned!! And the infamous Target cozy pants you’ll love are just that!! You will love these: stretchy, yet chic enough to be worn to the office with heels!! I love adding sneakers though and that cozy sweater tunic, but a graphic tee like this one and a moto jacket is also another easy outfit option for the mom on the go!!
My next pick would be leggings and a cozy sweatshirt! (This is my mom uniform 75% of the time)!! Aerie has been a fave of mine for high rise leggings , in fact these here are my most worn. I will say however I recently bought these from Amazon and they also have the side pocket for your phone like the Aerie ones, and are soft and comfy and high rise too!! I don’t personally own any Lululemon ones, (I buy them for my daughter), but I just don’t see the hype when the other two mentioned above are really good!
My go to sweatshirts lately to pair with my leggings are this animal print one (hoodie and crewneck version available), I’m in the xl. I also really like this Aerie one, I have it in three prints (camo seen below) in the size large (runs oversized). If you are looking for cozy slippers, these monogrammed ones are affordable and soft & cozy!
My go-to sneakers to pair with my leggings are these Jslides here, here, and here (these are a bit pricer but are great quality and I grab them when they are on sale). I also gravitate towards my Minnetonka moccasins, let’s face it, they are comfy and I used to work at a leather store that sold them when I was in high school, so my love runs deep, lol!! I also really like these Walmart slip on sneakers under $15. They have memory foam and feel like I’m walking on a cloud!! I liked them so much I bought two colors (I’m wearing the white ones below)!
So there ya have it! My top ‘mom on the go’ but keepin is casual looks! Which is your fave? (Oh and if you like my oversized animal print sweater, it’s under $35!! I’m wearing the size large. My jeans are by Good American- they are a bit pricey, but suck you in and feel great!
As always, thank you for reading and following along on my blogging journey!
