If you’ve been following me for any length of time chances are you know I love my mom jeans. These are not the SNL mom jeans they made fun of years ago, but newly reinvented to show off your assets and have a perfect high rise to flatter. They also have a ton of rinses and distressing options for any gal out there!
I shop at two retailers for all of my mom jean needs. They are priced affordably and available in a ton of sizes! I’m going to share with you today some of my personal faves and chat about why I love them and why you should give them a try!
First up we’ll start with my most recent pair I’ve purchased! These are more of a vintage mom jeans with distressing at the knees and shredded hem. Just like every mom jean I own, these are 100% cotton so I size up ONE size in them so I can breathe! These jeans look great with a bodysuit and chunky cardigan (avail in a ton of colors FYI) as well as a fun leopard top with lace arm sleeves and a chenille cardigan or a sherpa jacket too! For shoes I wear a bootie this time of year, usually one with a small heel like these or these to elongate my legs a bit, but these studded ones are a personal fave too, I own them in 2 colors.
Next pair that is worth chatting about are these highly distressed/shredded mom jeans! I get so many compliments on these it’s crazy! I again sized up one size and FYI of you get cold you could wear spanx underneath or some fun fishnets too! These also have some distressing on the back side too, which I adore (nothing too revealing of course)!!
Now onto a black pair of mom jeans! These have distressing only at the knees & thigh area and are equally as cozy. I find myself reaching for these often, probably because black denim is a nice change from your typical blue denim plus, these were one of the first pairs I ever bought, so I have warm & fuzzy feelings when I wear them, lol!!
Ok – so there ya have it, a few of my favorite pairs of mom jeans that won’t break the bank that fit curvy gals too!
Don’t hesitate to try these! When they first became popular a year ago I said – no way will those look good one me – yeah, NOT true! These flatter every shape and size depending on what you pair with them! Since they are typically a bit looser fitting on the bottom, keep some part of the outfit up top more form fitting ((like a bodysuit, tank/cami, or turtleneck-here’s a brand new cheetah print one I’m obsessed with)).
